Drying biomass using waste heat from biomass ash by means of heat carrier

چکیده

Agricultural and forestry biomass direct-fired power generation represents an important technology to promote low-carbon energy transition sustainable development. To solve the problems of boiler output fluctuation caused by unstable combustion high moisture content insufficient recovery ash waste heat after combustion, steel carriers (HC) were used absorb high-temperature (HTA) heat, then HC was directly mixed with for dewatering drying. The thermal efficiency decreased increase temperature, highest 77.4% at a heat-carrying spheres temperature (THC) 600 °C mixing mass ratio 3. Through optimization drying process, 800°C, 1 kg able dry 0.75 biomass, resulting in reduction fuel about 10%.

Polyhydroxyalkanoates production from waste biomass

Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) is a group of biopolymers that are extensively researched for such purpose due to the biocompatibility with mammal tissue and similar properties with conventional plastic. However, commercialization of PHA is impended by its high total production cost, which half of it are from the cost of pure carbon source feedstock. Thus, cheap and sustainable feedstocks are pref...

Ash Melting Temperature Prediction from Chemical Composition of Biomass Ash

Solid fuels, including biomass, consist of combustible, ash and water. Ash in fuel is result of reaction of minerals presented in the biomass. Minerals and other different substances which form ash got into biomass during growth. Ash is solid residue resulted from the perfect laboratory combustion of fuel. It is composed of minerals that are present in the fuel. Some species of biomass ash have...
